Definitely super exciting @Kelly70! I love the idea of a "3 way" as @BlondeinBrisvegas put it!! Does DB know that's your plan?
Ta heaps for the Clomid advice BiB. I'm on CD1 today and have to start it tomorrow, so I'll have a go at taking it in the morning, esp if insomnia is a possibility. If the side-effects are hideous I'll know to take at night the next time I'm on it. I have my CD6 and CD9 scans booked in for next Tuesday and Friday.
@Jem70 I just spoke with the donor sperm co-ordinator at Monash. As you may already know by now, since the change of legislation in 2008 a sperm donor can withdraw his consent to use embryos at any point that they're outside of your body. As soon as they're inside you he can't do anything! If he dies I think you can't use the embryos either. Both have happened at Monash before. I'm so so sorry you've been caught up in this nightmare. Do you have any timescale on hearing further info on his wishes?
I also just found out that some families have finally had success with my SD. 1 x positive blood test & awaiting first scan, 1 x chem pregnancy, 1 x frozen embryos awaiting transfer.

@Tahli - DB actually suggested I do a three way when we first talked about doing this! I'll tell him tonight though.

So I've got a definite 2nd line on the opk although it's not a positive result at all - occurred to me that you can sometimes see ewcm when AF is about to come except I doubt I'd see anything on an opk if that was the case... ? Hope this isn't actually AF.

@Tahli Yay for AF showing up!!! I really hope you don't get many side effects Luv

Well that frucking sux r.e change of legislation I just don't get how they've come to that conclusion?? It's so wrong and unfair and provides no protection for the recipient once embies are created. Totally frucked up IMO!!!

Anyhoo.....That's great about the success r.e your SD Luv Hopefully you're next!!! the Clomid helps get you over the line this Cycle

@Kelly70 I wouldn't imagine so Luv?? I know that you can get a positive OPK sometimes when you're Preggo, but not 100% sure if you would still be getting a reading when AF's due?? There is always a small amount of LH in your blood and urine though so I think you'll have to see if you get your surge in the next few days??

Good to hear DB's down with a little bit of "3 way action" Good to see you're heading over to start collecting this months deposits!!!

    Luv!!!

@Tahli thanks! I think the whole thing s pretty awful. But I still don't understand what a new partner has to do with it and why she'd need counselling.

The whole thing is so crazy! I'm trying to take some comfort in the fact my own circumstances have changed but the emotional and financial pain I went through to produce those two embies makes it hard to shrug off.

@BlondeinBrisvegas & @Kelly70, thank you, you have cheered me up😀 it just made me momentarily so sad after being so so close a few months ago. I have been slack with the supplements the last week or so but will get back with it tomorrow😊
I'm going to keep going this year at least, just praying that AF returns x

Jem, I am a vet and ppl still challenge us on treatment even after they have signed a consent form. We need to demonstrate we have informed them properly, not just given them a form to sign. You could challenge this legally. Some consent forms are not worth the paper they are written on. In my non lawyer eyes, those embies contain your eggs and hence they are yours! Damn that new girlfriend and the donor for his short sightedness.

@missybear That biatch will if I have anything to do with it!!! I seem to have some sway with the Universe occasionally, ask @Jem70, so will send prayers to the Universe for you that she does!!
