Exclamation Safety Isssue - Maxi Cosi Euro

I have been searching the forum for a mention of the safety issues relating to the maxi cosi euro which have been discussed on Facebook for the last week (june 2015)

This issue relates to the harness not holding the child in firmly in some situations

maxi cosi have provided a temporary solution and offered replacement covers but that is only for parents who are aware of the facebook discussion

Many parents are asking for a recall but it is looking like this will not happen

The original discussion was on the maxi cosi time line and has now been hidden, thankfully the original poster posted a video and the comments are attached to the video

    here is original dicussion

please pass this onto other families and friends

any pressure which can be applied to get these seats recalled will be of huge benefit to the safety of our children

The other problem us that they are selling this seat as an A4 seat but it hasn't actually been certified so is illegal to use.

I have one of the affected car seats and I've contacted them for a replacement cover and implemented the workaround that they published, which appears to work.

I'm just curious as to whether anyone has actually returned them to the retailers and what was the result of that? Would they take them back?

I'm curious to know as well... I checked mine this morning and it is not affected by the issue being discussed.
    However I found another issue....
We managed to get the markers for the isofix green when we first installed the seat (4 weeks ago) and when I checked it this morning I noticed they had gone red. I pulled on the straps as hard several times and could not get them green. Has anyone else with isofix car seats had trouble pulling the straps tight enough?
