How rude!! If it was one or two things then I would have just ignored it but a full basket is a bit much. I would have said something. Nothing too aggressive but just something along the lines of "excuse me, I was next"

If someone asked me if I would mind letting them jump ahead because they were with the person in front of me I'd probably be fine with it. But to just push in like that is so rude!

There was no one after me either. He could've waited five minutes 😡

That's the thing, I did my best hmmph! face but in those situations the only words that come to mind are the incredibly naughty ones, then everyone will think that I'm the rude one!

That's a good point though - I probably would have had the backing of the checkout operator. I wish she had said something but maybe if I had she could've too...

Super rude. I might have potentially said something depending on my mood. Some days my filter isn't in place! Some days I can't be bothered with a potential argument.

So so rude and i would have totally said something.
If the guy had said something to you first like oh do you mind my mate is just grabbing something can he go in front i would have said sure but to just come through and have the nerve to push your things back...very very wrong.
I think the check out person should have also said something especially if no one was behind you!!!

    Exactly this ^^

It's the fact he just barged through that is extremely rude. If there was a polite question to go through ahead as they were together, no issue. If I'm at the shop with someone, we do all our shopping together and go through the checkout together too. Obviously these men didn't have this logic

    Rude times 1000!

Is like to think I would say something, but I'm just not that assertive

Yep, very very rude! I probably would have said something along the lines "dude, wtf!?". And if he'd said he was with the person in front, I'd tell him he could at least be polite about it and not act like a d!ck.

But maybe that's just the mood I'm in today!
