    I agree!

It's so much harder than they make it out to be on the block and house rules etc! Especially when you're using your own money and you don't have sponsors and suppliers rocking up on your doorstop asking you what you want and producing it ahead if any other order they have waiting for anyone else!

I pretty much have my dream job as a university lecturer but it's insecure as I don't have permanency and doesn't work well with family IMO (too much night/weekend work required, it's a lifestyle not a job so you never switch off from it). So not sure if I'll go back after mat leave which is really really sad

    Mine would be either...

    Feature film composer or

University lecturer teaching pre service teachers - and actually making the course relevant to what you need to know when you begin :-)

or gourmet toasted sandwich shop owner.

Another one to add to my list - an employment lawyer. I work in HR so deal with simple employment law matters but I'd love to get more involved in the more complex disputes. It doesn't suit my lifestyle though so I wouldn't do it now.

    Property Manager, or Social Worker.

Although I have been the second before and the red tape was very depressing, so maybe PM.
