@midnite01 Excellent news Luv!! your third one gets there and can be frozen tomorrow It would be a very big weight off the shoulders that's for sure!!!

@Leisylou Oh Luv!!!! I guess you have to decide whether you're happy to draw a line under it right now, walk away and concentrate on trying to nab a natural BFP or head down the DE path with no regret or if you need to try a full IVF Cycle before you can do that??

I hear you on the weight gain, I stacked on even more than you have Luv and I've almost lost half of it now Your colleague over there sure isn't backward about coming forward is he/she???

In saying that, I don't imagine 48kg's was all that healthy either Luv and even though 70kg's isn't huge in the big scheme of things, when you've come from 48kg's I know it would certainly feel that way. But Luv, this is just a temporary state of being and there is a reason for it, a good bloody reason!!! So please try not to feel ashamed as you have nothing to be ashamed of Pour yourself into those bathers and go for a swim!! Sounds warm enough for it!!

@Skyler Oh bugger Luv, that's no good you're still in pain?? Hope that resolves asap for you. Yes, a shame you couldn't of had another week off to convalesce in the "Pyjama Club", but duty calls I suppose...Hope you feel better soon Luv

Talking Back again-round 2 DING DING DING!

    Hi everyone,

Sorry I have been silent for almost a year....after my last failed cycle I went away and thought about what we could do better. So, I lost 12kgs and I've been teetotal pretty much all year (with a little hiccup on hols in APR) plus I have gone back to my beloved Pump classes after a break of almost three years.

    FEELING GOOD!

I'm in the middle of cycle two so I wanted to drop in and say howdy again. I am so happy to see so many progressing pregnancies and births! Gives this old bird hope!

I have 8 follies and am scheduled for egg pick tomorrow morning at RPA. Similar to last cycle too. Fingers crossed we have a blasty to transfer on Friday and perhaps a frosty or two. As I am 45 in OCT I only have one more round at RPA before I would have to go private and TBH I don;t think I'll go more than the three rounds.

I'm taking tonnes of turmeric and drinking Golden Milk too so that my uterus is a nice, calm place for the blasty!

@Leisylou Im with you on the weight gain, Ive stacked on about 10kgs in the past 5 years with all this. I think Im a bit of an emotional eater so with this rollercoaster ice-cream mainly has been my very good friend. I hate myself in a cossie too, but last summer I thought life is too short for this never going for a swim caper and so i bought one that sucks in your belly and started swimming laps fairly regularly. All has stopped now given its winter but I would like to start again when the weather warms up. Its a period in your life that something has had to give is the way I see it and the outside isn't great but boy is the inside healthy!!
I hope you can decide which way to go with the cycle, its hard one as I know how sick I was last one and really very seriously questioned ever doing it again. Take care of yourself and do what you can. Oh and enjoy the warm weather!!!

@Skyler OH NO my jimjam sis!!! can you take a couple of days extra if you arent feeling great yet? Dont rush yourself back - look after yourself as first priority. Work is only work.

@midnite01 YAY for your blasts! You've done pretty well with your embies vs no of eggs! Heres hoping bubs is in there!!

@beckymae all the best for epu tomorrow! Another RPA girl..Im intrigued about the golden milk and tumeric too ?

@Chiefsgirl you sound pretty great! Like you're on holidays..oh yeah you are!! hehe

    @BlondeinBrisvegas thanks for the cheers!

@Charlie74 the mindfulness sounds like a good plan, I might have to practice some further into the cycle when the stress really hits!!

Golden milk is awesome for its anti inflammatory properties. It's turmeric, milk, black pepper and honey. So delish! http://wellnessmama.com/223/turmeric-tea-recipe/

Ladies, thanks I will front up to work tomorrow, just to give it a shot and if not coping will bail.

If looking for inspiration there is a new thread started by a lady who is 43 and 18 weeks pregnant (naturally) after 6 failed ivf cycles. And no it's not Miche.lle Brid.ges!!! Check it out, we all need examples, of real ppl, not celebs, that it can happen.

Crossing fingers big time for all of your cycles. And welcome beckymae.

Egg collection for my donor on Monday 8.30am our time, early Tuesday morning over there. Only update was around 20 follicles and my lining was triple stripe over 9mm. Off snorkeling in a volcano crater today, gosh it's a hard life😜

Sorry for no personals, on shopping centre wifi, but skyler I hope you are feeling better xxx

@Chiefsgirl Whoo-Hoo!!! Everything is sounding very promising Luv!!😊

Great lining @ the triple stripe (or "hamburger" as Wazza sometimes calls it😁) is what they're wanting to see prior to transfer😊

Sending a prayer to the Universe for lots of lovely eggies at EPU tomorrow!! Enjoy the shopping trip!!😊
