I think I read an article about that somewhere a bit too close to home I reckon unless lots of counselling and thinking takes place.

@tuxcat I agree the surrogacy and donor embie cycles in asia and india scare me. I feel for the kids in those situations.

I'm 11 days past egg pick up. Is that what you would classify as ovulation?

Congratulations @midnite01 that's a great number ! @mrsmac123 I feel for you. What a nightmare you've gone through, and are going through.
My old clinic told me they don't do ICSI, but PICSI, which has an extra step. They do something with the sperm which makes the best/strongest ones stick to some 'thing' then they carefully peel off those sperm and they are the only ones they use for the ICSI. Maybe an option if you're worried about sperm quality? I can't give much advice about Aust donor costs as it was all done through my clinic, the recruitment included and they were the dearest clinic I had heard of. The thing I loved about SA is that it was 7-8 weeks from when we chose a donor, until tfer day (tomorrow yikes) PLUS I needed a holiday after all those disappointments and this covers that base too. Cape Town is just sooooo beautiful, I would recommend as a great option. And if or when you decide to go for DE, then the pressure is off about your age as you can do it when you are ready. Regarding your frostie, I would keep that until ALL your options are exhausted. If you are ever going to do another OE cycle, you need to do it as soon as you can. Frostie will wait patiently.

This Cape Town jaunt is exhausting btw. We haven't stopped and will not fit in everything but have had a great time. All the walking -mainly at V&A waterfront and the Cape of good hope have burnt off all the calories I've accumulated at restaurants lol. @emski72 do we tip the valet parking dudes at the Vineyard every single time, or once at the end, or not at all?

    Default IVF over 40 #14

I'm so sorry Mrsmac that you're going through this. You still have other options if you would like children in your life, but you have touched people's lives in so many ways that you will never be lonely in life. Your mother, sister and DH for one seem like you are very important to them. Take time to grieve your loss though, it is still very raw but the pain does get easier with time. Just be kind to yourself.
