@Leisylou aw bugger lady its not just a BFN it's years of trying all culminating in empty arms again and it hurts
@tuxcat nearly a free woman now! Not being so consumed by it all sounds great, like a holiday in fact. I could really do with that! The donor option just became more and more attractive over 18 months as my chances of getting UTD seemed to get closer and closer to 0% The counselor I spoke to on friday wanted to get an idea for how long we'd been considering it for, I guess to make sure it wasn't a rash decision.

@Corbes a different approach with less follicles might be a good move. Hope it means better quality! Plus they could increase your dose if they think you aren't responding well enough.
@blondeinbrisvegas hi, thanks for asking! The counselor was lovely and it went well, helped by the fact that we'd been seeing a counselor from RPA who she knew. We have group counseling this friday but my donor is going to skype which is great, means she doesn't have to travel all the way to the city. So just a nursing appointment for me next week plus some blood test results and we should be ready to go!
We made a bid on a house but its going to go for above our budget, so we've got another bid on the go for a place that is under a flight path and on a 6 lane road, has rising damp and tiny bedrooms. Chr!st on a bike, we've GOT to be able to get THAT one!!! Famous last words.

    good luck everyone
@leyshoja when do you leave? Is the sniffing going ok?
I leave next Monday afternoon. Sorry everyone I haven't been able to keep up as I'm working weekends and nights to get some servers built before I go overseas I'm exhausted to the point where I don't even feel excited anymore. Just flat as a tack
I hope everyone is going ok. Been thinking and worrying for @mrsmac123

It is getting very close @leyshoja, very exciting for you!
@Corbes that is a huge amount of follies - I hope there are some good ones in there for you

Glad things are moving ahead well @Bongley and that it's getting closer all the time. Had to laugh about the house! Good luck getting the one you want :-)

Corbes that's a great amount of follies, I hope that translates into a good eggy for you.

I'm just waiting for my next scan tomorrow and blood test. Feeling sick, bloated and tired. I'm thinking egg pick up is Friday, but hoping Saturday as that would be easier with the kids.

@Luckyme1 Good Luck tomorrow Luv!! all your follies are ripe for the raiding!!!

Sorry you're still feeling like crap Not long to go now

@Corbes Bloody Hell!! Yep, time to get those eggies out Luv!! I'd say the double trigger is to make sure they can get as many follicles to mature as possible (are they all different measurements Luv??) as well as stop you from getting OHSS in the process

Here's a link to explain it a bit more if you're interested (n.b In America it's called Lupron instead of Lucrin):

    http://www.advancedfertility.com/lup...timulation.htm

for lots of lovely, mature eggs for you!!

Thankyou as always for everyone that has been thinking of me and offering words. 13 weeks yesterday. I am here but finding there is nothing to say anymore and just staring into space half the time. I have had all these thoughts about regrets and are we making the right decision and are we making this decision because we said we would and because DH wants it and I have agreed...until now when its staring me in the face...my GF said...if DH was to leave you in 2 years would you regret your decision? It was a good question, to which I said I don't know at first, and felt it was irrelevant but it made me think more on my own personal feelings rather than both of ours... and that I DO HAVE A CHOICE I can choose not to do it...DH might never forgive me....but it might be my only chance to have a child now which is what its always been about...he has hardly been involved through half of it.... it is not a good choice though I feel and in the end...just because it is really really hard does not mean that it is not the right thing for us. Why do we get to choose this, when do I get to choose where I want to give birth and what school my child goes to...never I guess.

I have seen my psychologist and social worker and spent a long time with the doctor yesterday. I think once it is all over is when I will really need to see how to deal...at this time is too surreal to get any help with. THe medication I am on that I started last week really is pretty good....it has taken the hysteria away to a kind of numbness and even though it appears to have sedating effects I have bad insomnia...awake till 4.30 this morning then awake again at 6.

We are still waiting for final CVS results, hoping today, or tomorrow as I have booked in for Day Surgery Friday. I did this yesterday and yes, very confronting as we had to discuss the process, and any choices...which are not many, but I won't go into it here as I said its confronting and I was by myself DH was at work. I also had to sign confronting consent forms about what CAN happen to me and have blood tests so they can have blood waiting for me. It is minor really I will be home just after lunch but given last surgery I had was emergency ectopic rupture l18 months ago and I lost 4 litres of blood and our LUCK with being "THE ONE" I am feeling pretty anxious about that side of things as well. They have agreed to give me some Temazepam when I arrive but don't want me to take anything to walk in, I guess so they know for aneasthetic.. hopefully they will give me something after...which I am also worried about

@mrsmac123 I think it's very normal to question things and to feel regret about the situation and feel confused etc. I'm glad you've been able to see your psychologist and a social worker where I'm sure you've discussed what choices are available to you. But it seems to me from what you've written, you've already answered your own questions/doubts.

Yes, it must be really, really hard and so very painful for you both as well. I wish you didn't have to make this decision too and that nature would've done it for you, but it doesn't always happen that way unfortunately I'm glad the medications helping to take the edge off all the anguish you're feeling. I'm not surprised to hear you're experiencing insomnia Luv. You're under a tremendous amount of stress and strain atm

That appointment yesterday would've been terribly difficult for you. I understand the process and risks etc involved so can imagine how brutal it was to have to hear it and discuss it all The blood is just a precaution Luv as I'm sure everything will be ok but after the rupture you had, they'll want to be extra cautious with you which is good.

Sounds as though they will put you completely under for the procedure which is the right thing IMO. Hopefully they'll give you a decent dose of the Tamazepam while you're waiting as it will help to calm you down. When you wake up they will give you pain relief if you need it and no doubt more Tamazepam if you need it as well. They won't let you be in pain or allow you to become overwrought emotionally or anything like that. They will look after you and keep you there for as long as needs be and until they're satisfied you're ok to go home.

Hopefully you get the final results today Luv as it will one less thing to have to worry and stress over. I also hope you'll have some help when you get home not only from DH but from other family or a close friend..someone to be with you to give you comfort and make sure you rest and eat properly etc

Please know that you are all in my thoughts Luv. I'm so heartsore for what you're going through Will be thinking of you most especially on Friday and sending a prayer to the Universe and healing vibes for your procedure as well as much love and hugs too

Thank-you for taking the time to update us all, I know it can't be easy for you, but like I've said before, we are all here for you whenever you need usxoxoxo

I'm so sorry that you're going through this Mrsmac. I hope the CVS results are helpful and I'm glad to see you're using your support crew.

We here as well if you want to vent or talk.

My ultrasound went ok this morning, it picked up 7 follicles. Do they have to be over 18 mm to have eggs?

I'm guessing egg collection is on Friday.

Corbes, good luck with your egg collection, sounds like you have a good chance to find your one magic egg.
