    Default More sickness :(

Been sitting in hospital with my poor DS2 for 4.5 hrs now. He's been vomiting since Monday, hasn't eaten anything, drinks occasionally and very very lethargic and unhappy.

Poor little guy needed a blood test so they put numbing cream on his hands, then couldn't find any veins so had to get it through his little foot 😢

Poor little guy So awful when they are sick and there's nothing you can do. Hope they find out the cause very soon.

Thanks everyone. We are home, they sent is home around 11:30pm and he's still the same today but he did manage to eat some banana for breaky. Hospital said if he vomits again I have to bring him in again ASAP got an MRI as they aren't sure what's causing the vomiting.

I'm hoping it doesn't come to that but there hasn't been much improvement today apart from eating half a banana....

I hope he's picked up throughout the day and managed to eat some more food.

I've had no phone reception as we went up the Coast as DS seemed to be feeling better yesterday when he woke after his nap... By the time we arrived at our accommodation he had gone downhill again he hardly slept last night.

We ended up taking him to a different hospital this arvo as he was extremely lethargic this morning as well, we came home early and went to a hospital on the way. Anyway by the time we got to the hospital he had perked up again!

I don't know what's going on but he's up and down they sent us home saying again that it is probably just a virus.

I'd start demanding some X-rays or something. What did the blood test show?

Have they done a stool sample? I only ask because my DD had rotavirus at 16 weeks, we were sent home from hospital numerous times then went to the childrens hospital and was admitted.

They took a stool sample at hospital the 2nd time we went up and it came back clear then another 1 at the childrens hospital I think there was 2 or 3 days between and it came back with rotavirus.

DD would do the same thing, perk up then go down hill. In the end I called 13health and they said to keep going back! That's when I took her to the childrens.
