@Spec we have an untested frozen too. They managed to get the cells from ours but the cells stopped growing during the "amplification" process so embryo ok but no result.
@Blue246 any results yet??? Waiting waiting!!
Afm I have started the progynova for the first (of the final!) medicated FET with these pgd normal embryos. Glad to be getting the first transfer out of the way. just want to get to our "end" whatever that may be. And whatever that may be, we will be alright.
We had incredible results which I'm still in shock about...all 5 tested embryos are normal! Amazing, but leaves me so confused as to why we had 4 missed miscarriages in a row where they were probably all chromosomally abnormal and the last 2 def were. So puzzling. But great! They are going to try to do a natural transfer for me this cycle with no medication....just blood tests to detect ovulation and then transfer 5 days after. Why did your specialist not go with a natural cycle for you @sunny79? I'm currently on day 10 of cycle and usually ovulate btw day 18-21.
@Blue246 what a fantastic result. I am so pleased for you. I have heard the it's just "bad luck" line trotted out so many times regarding our previous 5 failed transfers/miscarriages, so I won't do that to you. What has been is past and the future looks bright. Congrats!
We have medicated fet as I have a busy work schedule and live 1.5 hr from Geelong. Allows us to schedule the transfer with a bit more flexibly. Apparently doesn't affect the success rate.
Feeling ok on progynova, same as other cycles. So much less emotionally attached this time.
I think transferring in Melbourne is going to help. all our failure, elation, depression and anger about IVF can stay at Geelong! Lol! They have been amazing but I hope I never have to set foot in there again!
Oh that makes sense @sunny79 to have a medicated FET given how far away you live. I'm having blood tests every second day and it will prob go on for a week before they detect ovulation. That would be ridiculous for you to have to drive all that way all the time! And good idea to transfer in Melb so it's a fresh start without the memories of past attached to it. You are right that everyone says the miscarriages were just a bad run. Maybe they were but I can't help feeling there is some other underlying reason that they just haven't researched or discovered yet. Only things I did different in lead up to IVF compared to the 4 natural conceptions are that I had a gluten free/low dairy/nothing refined/ no caffeine or alcohol diet (I was a hoot at a party!) and also took ubiquinol cos I read that it could help. My biggest hunch though is that IVF over-rodeo natural cycle of ovulating after day 21 and so my eggs were ripe and perhaps 'over-ripe' in my natural cycle. I'll never know for sure though.
Best of luck to us both for our upcoming FET's. Xx
Nice one! Do you intend to POAS on wait til blood test? I'm so impatient, I know I'll have to do stick test by end of next week. 😜
