    Hi ladies!
I have an endometrial biopsy/scratch booked for 23rd Feb. We decided not to pgd test our last 2 embryos.
Going to do the final 2 fet and reassess.
Husband keen and I would consider (but don't know) another epu and pgd test all embryos. However, I have drawn my line in the sand. If nothing by feb next year we are done. I cannot do this to my mind or body, 2 years out of my life will be more than enough life in ivf mode.

    Hi Sunny,

I've been meaning to ask how everything is going.
It's must be a hard choice to make but with your plans I think you have a good chance of it working.
    Keep the updates coming.
    Best wishes.

That must be so frustrating. You would almost want something to come back a bit off so they know what to work on.

I still can't believe how incredibly lucky we were. It just doesn't seem fair that so many amazing people are still battling.

My belly has finally popped, so it's actually seeming real now. We'll have our bubba in our arms soon, and you'll have one in your belly.

    Default Starting 1st cycle

Hi I am starting my first IVF cycle next week (injections). My partner is azoo because he's a CF carrier. We are having egg pick up and sperm retrieval on the same day (fingers crossed they find sperm). Can anyone give guidance as to whether we should do a local or a general anaesthetic for the sperm retrieval? We are leaning towards general even though it's more expensive just because I guess it makes it easier for the Dr to do what they need to do and have the best chance of getting sperm.

    Default Geelong Monash IVF

Hi Onegreatday. You sound just like us. Also azoo due to cf carrier. Dp has had 2 retrievals done just under local and he said it was ok. Local hurt a little but the retrieval done quickly. We had a test biopsy though to make sure he had viable sperm before I had my egg collection. Then fresh sperm retrieved the same day as my epu. He wanted local only so he could drive me home.

Oh Sunny. I know how hard the lack of results is and understand your frustration. I hope it works out for you in the end!

Spec - so exciting now! I can't wait for you to meet your bubba! And I'd love pics!

OneGreatDay - my DH had a few biopsies done just under local and had no major complaints!

AFM, we just got back from Thailand which was fabulous. Travelling with a 4yo is much different than as a couple, but we survived and she had a great time and learnt a lot. I think I've finally come to terms with no more babies for us. It's still a gaping hole, but the wound is starting to scab over. I'll always be missing something but there's so much more for me to focus on. June will be on us before I know it, and then it's off to Europe, so I can't complain can I? We are also thinking of Bali in Sept, then a friend is having her birthday in Hawaii in Jan, so we are certainly starting to see plenty of the world so if I can't have more babies, then showing the gorgeous one we do have the world is a great alternative.

Exciting times kizmetzing. Glad Thailand went well. You have a great year to look forward to.

My last results came back today. Endometrial biopsy also normal range - nk cells 12. I guess I will google that later.
