I think I would do the same thing too. After our miscarriage we had one month off (doctors advice) then started trying again straight after that. I think in a way it helped me move on because I was looking towards the future.

You have quite a few good quality frozen embryos, so the odds are definitely in your favour.

That is such a long time, and people that haven't done it have no idea. We were incredibly lucky for it to work for us, but so many people that we told believe that IVF is a guaranteed thing. They look at you like you're crazy when you explain that even at best it's not even a 50/50 chance per round.

Do you think you'll stick with transferring one? Or will you consider 2?

I've been feeling pretty good, I wouldn't call it morning sickness because I haven't actually thrown up. But if I get too hungry I start feeling really queasy. So I've been eating lots of snacks to keep on top of it. I am starting to get past that phase though.

Glad you are feeling pretty good. I hate being sick, morning sickness would be the worst.
Other people really don't have any idea about ivf. Even gps are clueless. I really hope this next cycle will work. We discussed doing transfers of 2 and then 2 but my head tells me the risks are too great. We only want one child so I guess we are stuck transferring one. I guess if we do the next 2 or 3 without success I would ask for more testing to try to establish why. Because our diagnosis was male infertility I have had very little testing. I could have endometriosis or something we don't know about.

Transferring 2 is risky, and a good idea to give it a few more goes first.
Will you have a meeting with your specialist before the next transfer or do they just go straight into it?
Unfortunately it's often difficult to figure out why it doesn't work sometimes. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

    Poking my head in....

good of luck with the lining scan sunny. I'd just be transferring one at a time if I were you. I always looked at it as if there was a reason why one good quality emby didn't take, then if I had put two back, I'd wasted two on that cycle. Let me know if you still want the PROG.

not long to wait now for the 12 week scan spec! So exciting!

As as for me, I'm getting there. I've hit a couple of super low patches and know there are more to come but I'll be ok in the end. Focussing on our holiday next year, booking the flights this morning. London, Paris, French riviera, Disneyland and Rome... I can't complain! I've almost finished clearing my house of baby stuff, just the cot and change table to go, just need to take pics for gumtree. I've been running a lot which helps clear my mind. Summit survivor in a couple of weeks, then Run Geelong 12km, and afterglow 12km trail run in the dark the week after that so plenty keeping me occupied!

So good to hear you are ok Kizmetzing. We've missed you!
Have you been to Europe before? I loved every bit, especially Paris and London. Your daughter will love Disney land.
Thanks for the well wishes. I am really pleased I went straight into another cycle. I am ready now. It takes a bit but you do get back on the roller coaster. I hope this is the one, but if not I know that no matter what life throws at me I can get back up and keep going.

Oh yes. I am up on Friday Kizmetzing 10:30am scan, but I have to be back in Colac by 12;30 so pretty tight schedule. If Friday suits to pick up the progesterone I could do it then. Otherwise transfer should be the following week all going well.

I'll PM you sunny re pick up. I hope this next cycle is the one for you.

Weve been to Europe twice before. First time was in 2005 and were unfortunate enough to be in London when the underground was bombed. Fate took care of us that day as we would have been on one of those trains if not for the cool London weather that day - about to get onto the train and decided to go back to the hotel and get changed. LUCKY! We especially love Paris, so are heading back there for the third time. We are lucky enough to have friends that had an apartment in the heart of Montmartre last time so stayed there but they have sold that and have a place down in NIce, so we will head there this time. This will be our first trip to Rome.

Sounds like a lively holiday. Glad you are back rubbings. It's amazing what the endorphins can do.
Wow, that's so terrifying about your last trip to London. It's amazing how many people have similar stories about changing their minds or running late.
