    Default Geelong Monash IVF

    Good evening everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has/is using Geelong Monash IVF.

I have my first appointment on the 30th of June, 2015 and am just wondering what I can expect.

I'm nervous, but very ready to get the process started as soon as possible.

    Thanks in advance

Kinda. I was with Monash Melbourne, but my Ob was Sam Sabary and he's a Monash geelong FS and is great.

    Thank you for replying 😊
I have so many questions, I'll try not to bombard you with everything!
The main thing I would like to wrap my head around (at this point) is the time frame. I realise it'll be different depending on the individual, but how long did it take from your initial consultation to beginning treatments?
I hope all is going well for you.

Depends on how quick you want to start. They will do bloods. Then you get your drugs and wait for your period, which will be late . If you push ahead all systems go usually two months. Though in Vic you have to have a police check, have you had that yet? It seriously holds things up! And counselling depending on what you are needing.

Hoping to get cracking asap, but I think everyone is in the same boat!
My GP has ordered all the tests she can think of, so hopefully that'll speed up the process a bit. I already know I have one blocked tube and my last scan suggested PCOS. GP said they'll probably go straight to IVF based on the tube alone.
I'll fill out the Police Check form this week, thanks for the tip!
I'm a little worried about going into the appointment with all the test results and paperwork. I'm sure they'll think I'm nuts! 😝

My appointment with the fertility specialist in his private rooms is June 30th.
My understanding is there is then another wait to get an appointment at the actual clinic.

If you do want to speed things up call in at the clinic and ask for the police paperwork early. Easier to get it through them than do it yourself so you know you have the right one.
