    No, I wouldn't.

A friend of my mum's avoided a particular 3 month period every year when TTC, so that her kid wouldn't have a common family birthday.
It took her 5 years to conceive. No medical issues were found, so maybe that 3 month period was her missed window each time.

I edited my earlier post to add, inititally we did plan for our kids to be in seperate halves of the year. But we lost that pregnancy at 15 weeks, and it was then I realised it didnt matter when their birthdays are as long as they have one.

If you do go through with this @Snooze and @MummaCat, and a year later you haven't conceived, will you do the same thing the following year?

Genuine question- just wondering if it is that important.

I never really paid attention and now it looks like this baby is due a week or two before DS1 turns 3. I'm not fazed, although I did realise we would have a 18th and 21st in two weeks of each other in 18 years...

I know someone who has waited to TTC for a new hospital to open which I think is less a reason than close birthdays but still valid

No. My boys are 2 years apart and their birthdays are 2.5 weeks apart. DH is then a week and a bit after DS2 so it's hectic,, but not an issue otherwise. It also means birthday madness is done and dusted within a short period of time.

My DDs birthdays are 3 weeks apart. I thought about it but it didn't stop me! I also didn't expect to fall so quickly are having a tube removed.

Probably should clarify. We are starting TTC in August in the hope we'll fall as quick as we did with DD thus resulting in a winter baby. If it doesnt happen then we will keep trying till it does as having a baby is more important then what month it is born in. We would be happy with a take home baby no matter its birthday.
