Default High Natural Killer Cells #7

    @Hopeful59
    I was on:
prednisolone in the lead up to transfer, maybe 6 weeks before, started on 0.5 and built up to 25mg.
I stayed on that for as long as Dr M recommended (can't quite remember how long that was, maybe up to 20 weeks?).

Clexane 60mg, think this started a week before transfer, skipped transfer day, then up to quite late in the pregnancy, think it was the last of the drugs to stop.

Prednisolone pessaries, very high dose, something like 2400mg per day as I was always low in P4 levels on previous transfers plus I had bleeding at 7 weeks & was terrified of losing the pregnancy so I dosed myself up super high, higher than even Dr M suggested. Took those up till 4 or 5 months I think.

Estradiol tablets just a week before transfer and stopped soon after a positive result as these were to build up lining. I also drank pomegranate juice 2 x a day to build up lining.

Neupogen injections, the dose of this depends on your weight. Had these daily up till... Hmm can't remember, maybe 2 months in or so? Started them a week before I think? These help with implantation, which was a problem for me. Never saw 2 lines until I took neupogen, I have a feeling this, plus high progesterone helped me be successful. But I'll never know for sure.

Then I had 1 x intralipid infusion prior to transfer. On a positive result I had 1 x IVIG infusion, then went for monthly intralipids up until 30 weeks pregnant.

On top of all that I also took vitamin e (stopped that at some point during the pregnancy, can't remember when but Dr M said to stop), calcium and Vit D tablets - ESSENTIAL if you are taking steroids. Plus magnesium.

Think that was it! So a crazy amount of drugs... But all worth it.

    Hope that helps.

Be as angry as you like/need

FS have a lot to answer for

But they are specialists not auto immune issues.... I'm not defending them as they are wrong.

Give it 10 years and I think they will be more into both fields.

But I do think they need to investigate further people with unexplained infertility:

I have been trying for 8 years took a break from Ivf cause no one could tell me why it wasn't working.

Came back still hasn't worked and they just want o keep doing the same protocol.... Yeah cause the result is the same... I feel with the help of doctor M, in the closest I've been to possibly taking home a baby in 8 years

Finally someone took my concerns and history seriously,

So vent away, as much as you need to x

    Hello!
So I spoke with Dr M today (he fit me in because I got my blood results back and so far my hcg levels are still doubling indicating that the pregnancy is still okay) he has upped my prednisilone from 10mg to 25mg and I'm staying on he clexane, aspirin and progesterone. I spoke with him about intralipids and he said it is something to consider but that he would discuss that with me in a few weeks when my bloods for NK cells etc came back (which he sent me after the phone call) I'm just a littler nervous because don't people have those monthly or close to? I'm already 5 weeks pregnant and because of my high ANA and high thyroid antibodies (over 1300) I'm scared that I need the intralipids and should be having them sooner rather than later. I was very impressed with our lovely he was as well as his secretary (is it gwenda, Glenyth? She didn't say her name on the phon but I have seen her mentioned in others posts) I just want to make sure I'm doing absolutely everything I can and am worried that I'm not

Default prednisolone 25mg take all 5 pills all at once every morning?

    Hi dear all,
Sorry for crushing the thread, Im newbie here and just finished this 76 pages thread last several days
I havent booked dr M yet but I found out that I have ANA 1:160 and SSA ro antibodies, D Dimer check for blood clotting was negative last week, and Nkc Cd 163 is 250/mm2, cd 56+ (uterus biopsy one) is 9.5%, not sure if my nkc is really high or borderline... failed IVF fresh transfer once, never got pregnant before.
Just transfered a frozen pgd checked embryo yesterday and my FS told me to start prednisolone on day 6, 25mg and dont need to take more dosage after transfer (i think thats not enough maybe)
And sorry for such a long post and now getting into my question.. just wondering how everyone else taking your prednisolone? The nurse told me to take them all in the morning...
But I heard someone was on 25mg and she did two pills in the morning, one for lunch time, and another two in the evening.

It would be great if anyone whos been taking prednisolone share your experience

    Million thanks

    Hi yjeu,

I spoke to Dr M for the first time today and he advised to take 3 pills in the morning and 2 at lunch time. Not sure if it's the same for everybody but that was his advice for me
