You need to switch to Pred as Dex passes through the cord/placenta whereas Pred doesn't.
Everyone is different with time on the drugs. I think I was fully weaned off Pred 28wks.

@Autumn Sun I'm 22 weeks and still on 15mg prednisone, down from 25 originally. Quite happy to stay on the drugs for as long as necessary!

    Hey girls

I had my follow up appointment with my FS (monash) and he didn't take well to me suggesting I wanted to see a auto immune specialist.... Which I was glad from
Reading this thread it's quite normal

So now I am looking at changing clinics.....

So my question has anyone used a budget Ivf clinic alongside Doctor M?

Being that I am unexplained fertility and had every test under the sun.... So I can't see a downside to a budget clinic as such, as the issue does seem to be implantation.

Yep you need to switch from Dex to pred as it can pass through the placenta where pred doesn't. I am nearly 24 weeks and weaned down to 5mg from 30mg. I will finish week 26. You need to be off the steroids for 2 weeks before doing your gd test as the steroids can affect the results and give you a false reading.

I got some additional testing back.

My anticardiolipin is still elevated, as expected, so definitely getting clexane if/when we get pregnant again.

NKC result was 9% (range 6-28%). I don't know how to read that at all...Dr S said we'll be doing intralipids anyway due to other antibodies present.

    Hi Guys,

Just a quick question as my cycle failed again. I was on Pred 4x 5mg, and a shot of claxene 40mg everyday but since it was negative AF showed. I will be doing FET next month. I just want to know if Dr. M will provide me new protocol? Is anybody here had a failed cycle after using pred and claxene then Dr. M change protocol (if yes what protocol did he put you?) and got pregnant? Sorry I am really a bit down since this is my third cycle all failed. I believe that the implantation is the problem. Blastocyst quality are superb but they don't implant. Merry Christmas to all.

Hancamp so sorry to hear... I would urge you to get the HLA etc matching test with your partner... We upped protocols to IVIG neupogen etc & wasted 4 blasts only to find later we have matches. Now doing LIT plus everything else. Get Dr M to do this for you & wait for results. Good luck, stay strong xx

Hancamp also check you are clear of adenomyosis on uterus scans, it can stop implantation & zoladex can help with this

Hi there , I hope u don't mind me joining in. I was told of this thread by a member of another thread I'm a part of, as she thought it may help me.. My story is:
I'm 33 and have been ttc for eight years now.. I've had four miscarriages and all for "no reason".. I was diagnosed with pcos a few years back as well.. My fs has done testing and has said that he can't see a reason why I'm losing these babies.. But the next step would be to go through a cycle of ivf and see the quality of my eggs and possibly freeze a few.. I'm now looking at seeing a naturopath in the new year to see if it helps.. I'm at the stage where I'll try anything.. 😢
I'm sorry to leave a huge post.. Lol I ramble a bit when it comes to this.. xx
