Hi Jojosniss. .. I was going over thread again n realised I have missed to reply to your post...

Regarding Dr NL. . My purpose was not to confuse you. Even we went to him when our four cycles with LB didn't work.. obviously he was v good at the appt and diagnosed us with partial dq alpha match n spent so much time with us etc.... but as I mentioned .. He made a very normal ... simple protocol for us( nothing as was discussed in our appt ) ... When I questioned ... as to why u didn't include this or that. ... He said oh! I forgot. .. I will include it now.... I was honestly not impressed with all this .. so now we are doing another fresh cycle with LB with a full immune protocol. . Clexane pred intralipid etc. .. the only thing w r are not doing is the LIT therapy as she and dr wazza ( qld) do not believe in the dq alpha match at all and LIT is a controversial therapy acc to them and is also banned in the US...

It's upto you love to make the decision ... He must be a very good doc.. even we were really impressed .. but not so after seeing our protocol.. so wr decided to stick to our f's.

Hope all the ladies are doing well xx

Autumn, the only 'symptom' Progesterone should induce is to prevent AF when you are on it. While you are on Prog there is no way of knowing if the preg has occurred until you do a blood/urine test and HcG is/not detected.

Calypso - Dr M and Hurstville Private generally do Intralipids on a Saturday afternoon/evening but I have heard of the occasional mid week one for special reasons but it isn't usually a case of you being able to nominate a day. Timing is usually every 4-6 weeks or 10-14 days prior to a transfer, so not so rigid that a Sat doesn't usually work.

Thank you Sue77. It's all so emotional and confusing as you know. After making a bad choice with our first fertility centre we can't afford to do it again. But now I know that he forgot to include something in your protocol I will be sure to be on the ball with what he does with us. It's so hard because you go to "doctors "
Because there is a problem otherwise you would fix it yourself!!!! Good luck Sue77 and thank you so much again x

Did anyone going through Hurstville get a bill for the hospital and a bill from Dr M? This is more expensive than I thought.

Hi everyone, I think I need a little hope. Sorry for the long post. I have hashimotos, I've had one ICSI IVF baby girl in 2013, lost a baby in December last year at 10 weeks and another in April at six weeks both conceived naturally. We have only had the hashimotos diagnosis since December last year, prior to that I thought it was just PCOS and hypothyroid. I was on thyroxine and metformin back then. Since April, we have seen multiple fertility specialists and settled with albury reproductive (through Monash IVF). The plan was to try three cycles naturally commencing on 40mg clexane, 20mg prednisone and 200mg progesterone after ovulation which I did with no luck. Last month was a "month off" and not drugs or actively "trying". I can't remember the day but I think I ovulated the first week of November. On the 11th (last Wednesday) I had endometrial scratching in preparation to IVF next month and picked up my drugs. On Sunday I had dark spotting on and off and period pain but nothing convincing. On Monday for some reason I did a pregnancy test and it was faintly positive. Somehow I've managed to get pregnant around endometrial scratching. My Bhcg was only 13, progesterone 23 and oestrodial 384 so I was only JUST pregnant. I immediately started progesterone, clexane and prednisolone. I repeated my bloods this morning (almost 43 hours later) and Bhcg 38, progesterone 35 and oestrodial 316. The clinic don't test oestrodial or progesterone (I added them on the path form) so the nurse had no idea when I questioned her about the drop in oestrodial. She said the numbers are all really low and it's not looking good :-/ I've stopped spotting and feel pretty good AND the Bhcg had doubled in about 30 hours, so I was shocked. She said if I'm still pregnant in a week to do bloods again and an ultrasound if levels are low still. Does a drop like this in oestrodial reflect a poor outcome? Is there anything I can do? Help I'm going mad!

Bhcg went from 38 to 90, prog from 35 to 62, oestrodial from 316 to 430 😃😃😃 I am happy. What medications are others in to support their pregnancies with hashimotos? I'm on 20mg prednisolone, 40mg clexane, 1700mg metformin, 200mcg thyroxine, 200mg progesterone. I've started inner health plus and a pregnancy multivitamin. Can anyone suggest anything else? Obviously I'm on the kitchen sink approach lol

All that for hashis? All I have for mine is the prenatal vitamin and my thyroxine along with regular blood tests. What are the other medications doing?

    Yay that's great news!
(I have no idea about oestrodial either)

That's a huge dose of metformin!
