Default High Natural Killer Cells #7

PreciousHeart.... I saw Prof Illingworth at IVFA and though he was lovely, he really never got on board with the whole immune issues, hence why I got him to do the IVF side of things and Dr M to do the immune issues. Mind you it's been 6 months now since I last saw him, so can't comment if he's come round by now.

AFM.... On a different note, I'm due to have my GD test tomorrow. When I got the referral a couple of weeks back from Dr M, he never mentioned about doing anything special, so I rang the path lab to ask a few questions about the test. Then a couple of days ago I heard that you have to fast, so I rang the path lab back this afternoon, and they said not only do I have to fast, but I have to follow a special diet for the three days prior. Why didn't they tell me this when I rang two weeks ago??!! So I rush down there to get their information sheet on the special diet, that again they should have told me to come and get two weeks ago, and when I read the "so-called diet", it basically turns out to be my normal diet!!! Seriously - cereal, milk, bread, pasta, rice, veges and fruit!! So in the end it's all good, but certainly caused a few stressful moments today.

PreciousHeart: I haven't consulted with DrS. He is a bit more conservative than DrM in term of protocol as far as i know. He is very open for everyone to use his protocol, though. No secret recipe. My FS basically just handed me the bondi protocol sheet. I mainly followed it this cycle. When i had a question regarding immune issue, she just asked him on my behalf.

Genea is pretty good and has their own lab for doing PGD. I think Perth embies are sent there.

Sorry, no idea about donor eggs.

Just wanted to add.... just been for that GD 2 hour test. Arrived there with my nice list of foods that I've eaten in the past three days, only to have the nurse say, "don't worry about that, so long as you fasted overnight." Seriously, talk about a inconsistent system - thankfully it didn't matter for me, since I eat all those foods normally, but for some people that might have been a real pain!!

Preciousheart I saw dr sacks at ivfa and found him fine to deal with, but I never did a transfer with him and would have followed dr m's protocol anyway.

I'm not sure about the donor thing, we are using overseas de.

@mgcbertie I'd be stuffed if I had to do that. I'm eating paleo so no grains, and I'm gf anyway so never really ate them before. Are you off the steroids?

Chiefs..... yes, I finished weaning off Prednisolone last week. Then last night got a nice allergic reaction to my eye (that I get about once or twice a year), so had to get Dr M's OAK today that I could take Prednisone, which is my eye specialists prescribed drug for treating flare-ups. Seems a little of a coincidence that I get it a week after finishing the prednsiolone. Spent 6 hours travelling to and from and sitting in medical appointments today - not massively fun with a head cold and an inflammed eye, but got to use my facemasks today in order to get some attention!! Lol.

Oh, I thought you had to be off pred for two weeks before gd test as it can inflate your results and make it look like you have it.
