    Hi ladies,

New to this whole process, currently in my first Ivf cycle - gonal f and orgalutran. Waiting to see how I respond for when epu is scheduled.

DH has obstructive azoospermia - cystic fibrosis carrier - even though they were confident they could feel the vas deferens. Sperm retrieved via biopsy. It will be ICSI for us - fresh sperm on the day of epu to hopefully get some embryos. Poor dh- biopsy again.

Looking forward to sharing this journey with some other ladies.

My husband and I decided we would not tell anyone we were undergoing ivf so we had no pressure. We have been very happy with that decision, especially after the initial azoospermia diagnosis as hubbie didn't feel like everyone was thinking he was less of a man (men are from Mars!). It is a bit daunting now for me and I know I need some ladies to chat to!

    I am 35 and hubbie 36

@Charlie74 I know! I've heard others say IVF's a bit of a roller coaster and it's so true - And you don't realise until you do it the peaks and troughs you'll hit. But you've got a great haul, fingers crossed for tomorrow, you will get there!

Hi Charlie, How does ICSI-HA differ from normal ICSI?

Welcome Sunny! We found that even telling people didn't help with needing to talk to other people in the same boat as most people don't understand it all!

Ah yep. I read about that the other week by another name. Unfortunately wouldn't work for us since those are the receptors that are broken (whole reason we need ICSI!)

He has antisperm antibodies that coat the sperm and stop the receptors from working. So when we did IVF his sperm couldn't 'find' my eggs. His count, morph and motility are all really high.

Totally agree Sunny. We made the mistake of telling a few people. And while they meant well sometimes you just don't want to talk about it when the ask how it's going and I found it just put more pressure on us as well

    How long until your EPU?
