    Are you low risk?
They wouldn't take me cos of being higher risk. They only take on the least complicated cases.

I was in COSMOS. I was referred to cosmos after my booking in appointment at 19 weeks. I had my first appointment with my midwife at like 20 something weeks. I really loved my midwife. She was amazing and our philosophies around birth really matched. I ended up being induced at 41+2. My midwife and her student were amazingly supportive during my labour but had to leave after 12 hours. After she left things went a bit downhill and my actual birth was quite unpleasant. She and her backup midwife provided me with excellent post natal care and Im still in contact with my midwife from time to time.
If you can't get into cosmos, I'd highly recommend shared care with a private midwife. A friend did this around the same time as I birthed. She was supported at home and then at hospital and post natally. We both went to mums and bubs yoga at the midwifery clinic and the midwives I met were all lovely. If you want the name of the clinic, send me a pm.
