Default Recommend a Southbank (or nearby) restaurant?

    Hi,
We are visiting Brisbane & looking at attending the Lantern Parade in Southbank, & looking for recommendations for a family friendly restaurant to eat in Southbank or close by?
    Thanks!

There are so many nice places to eat along Southbank there.

The Surf Club in Southbank is nice for a casual meal.

Plough Inn in Southbank is good for pub food.

Obsession (Asian) on Little Stanley St has nice food and I've had excellent service here.

Ahmet's (Turkish) on Little Stanley St

Ole (Spanish) on Little Stanley St, nice little tapas restaurant.

There's another Asian one further down Little Stanley St (away from the piazza) that has fairy lights in the roof, but can't remember what it's called. Possibly Satay Hut.

For a chocolate treat there's a Max Brenner within Southbank and a Chocolateria San Churro on Grey St, which is only a short walk.

There are loads of restaurants around though, within Southbank, on Little Stanley St and Grey St.

We loved Ahmets Turkish restaurant! Great atmosphere and music. May have to book in advance if there's a few of you, was quite busy.

Another one I just thought of was Julius Pizzeria. It's further down Grey St, more opposite the science centre/museum but the food there is amazing.
