    Default Possible surprise

Hi. This is my history - I'm 46 years old and have a 12 and 15 year old. My periods have always been pretty regular - mostly 28 days with the occasional 29 or 30 day cycle. We haven't used contraception since our second child and I've never fallen pregnant again.
This month my period is 16 days late. I've done two home tests which were negative. I'm very tired and 'brain dead' but no other pregnancy symptoms.
This may of course be the start of menopause but I find it strange that my period would just stop - most people seem to have lots of fluctuations, hot flushes, mood changes etc.

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow but might do 1 more test today anyway!!

I would love to be pregnant but it's also a scary thought due to my age and the fact that both of my previous babies were premmies.........

Oh wow hope it is the surprise you are hoping for. But I would have thought a pregnancy test would have showed a positive but may depend on the brand.

I've had my blood tests but still waiting on results. Still no period.
It's excruciating waiting - trying not to get hopes up as the chances of menopause are so much higher than the chances of pregnancy..... Last night I also realised that my cholesterol medication is a category x so I stopped taking it and started freaking out!
Can't see dr till Tuesday (long weekend) but as the surgery is near work I'll pop in a and ask if results are available yet later today

My period just came 😢 mostly sad but also being realistic about the challenges and possibilities that if I was pregnant the baby could well have had problems.
    Memopause here I come ....
