You poor darling, my Dh had a strangulated hernia and was in so much pain, so I can only imagine how dreadful you must be feeling on top of everything else. Lot's of hugs and love to you as always.

Woke up at six as usual, day was fine until 10am when I just felt so weird and off and knew instantly my hernia had become strangulated. I tried pushing it back in but no go and it was becoming more painful so I rang DH who was harvesting and he said he was coming straight home.

This took 45 minutes and by this time I was in quite a bit more pain, sweaty, vomiting and trying to deal with a 3 year old and pack bags.

We got in the car and I was sick a few more times and then dozed off and woke up about 2.5 hours later (still driving) and knew it had popped back in.

OMG....too much stress for this old duck! DH is going home tomorrow but I'm going to stay in Perth until my surgery with mum and dad and DS3 because I just can't risk it.

Big kids are sad and I am sad but I just need this hernia fixed.
Omg hugs. I had mine strangle like that and then 2 weeks later it did it again. The fixed as a emergency in the middle of the night when i was 19 weeks pregnant. I am sorry your going through all this. I wish i could help you in some way.

Thanks all so much xx I said to DH that at least life is never dull! He's left to go home but is hoping to bring the big two to Perth this weekend which will be good for all of us.

It's 11 years today since my mum got her transplant. The most amazing, life changing gift - I try not to dwell on it but I really just want to get these ops over with and get back on the list and hope that one day I'll get that amazing gift too.

Oh, I only just found this thread and read it all. You're a wonderful, strong woman. I can't even imagine how hard it is to be away from your family and deal with this. I'll be hoping and praying that your surgery goes well, you get back on the list and you get a transplant sooner rather than later.
