Default DVD movie for nearly 3yo boy

We are flying to Cairns from Sydney next week and I'm putting together an arsenal of distractions in case nearly-3yo DS loses patience in the plane, like he has done in nearly every other flight we've done with him. He's just recently started to get interested in movies with a story line, following what's happening rather than just being interested on and off. He sat through a bit of Rio and a bit of Ice Age, but both are really a bit much for his age group just yet. We have Toy Story, Nemo, Lion King etc but looking for any other examples of something suitable for toddler/pre-school kids rather than pre-school/primary school type age.

At that age, my DS went more for TV shows than movies. They are shorter and repetitive / formulaic so he could still follow the story without having to sit through 90mins+ of movie.

Most popular were Team Umizoomi, Blue's Clues and Roary the Racing Car.

    My almost 3yo nephew loves:
    - Cars
    - Planes
    - Frozen
    - Shaun the Sheep (my sister took him to see this as his very first trip to the cinema)
Not to mention anything Thomas related

Thanks everyone! He loves Planes but hasn't bothered to actually sit and watch it for more than a few minutes at a time. I'll give Cars a try too. He's not into Thomas at all, surprisingly and much to my dismay! His favourite is Play School, which he will watch a gazillion times, but I was just hoping to capture his attention for a longer time frame. If much prefer for him to actually just sleep on the plane but I know my chances are close to zero of that happening, so I want to avoid the daggers from the other poor passengers when he decides to vent his frustrations.

Madagascar. My daughter is 2 and follows the basic story line. She has watched it twice and knows the main character's names and when they're sad, happy etc.
