    Default Hand foot and mouth.

    So I've heard you can get it again.
    Dd had it in March for 3 weeks !!
    Just noticed suspicious spots today.
    Is that too soon to get it again?

    Unfortunately not, my DS had it twice in two months. The second time it was not as severe (not sure if that's always the case though).

    Hope your little one isn't too bad!

    @maternidade, my kids have had it many times. Last time I got it as well! Aparently it is really unusual for adults to get it, but I was really run down at the time and had spent the week before in hospital so gather thats where I picked it up

    It certainly looks like HFM...

    That's what I'm afraid of, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and have had a cold all week so my immune system is not at it's best.
    I've just emailed my oby for advise for me and belly bub

    HFM is only dangerous to expectant mums in the first trimester. Otherwise I think it's ok.

    Hope you don't get it.

    My DS had it last year when I was 20 or so weeks, it's only dangerous if you have it when you are delivering it very early on, so where you are at its fine... Plus you'll probably find you've had it before so even if you do get it again you should only get a mild case.

    Hi, just noticed spots on my 16 month old's feet and mouth. He's had high temps and reluctant to eat or drink for 2 days now. Thought I'd jump on BH to see if anyone has any advice and found this thread!

    Any tips appreciated - particularly on what foods to feed. How long before your LOs started to get better? so hard to see them sick...
