    Really?? DS's was done on the Thursday and he was back at school on the Monday. The only concern our ENT had was worrying about water getting in his ears. I suppose his was done in summer though so less colds going around.

    Did he have adenoids too? The ENT was most concerned about the adenoids site getting infected from all the germs at school.

    DD's ENT didn't even mention infection of the adenoids site as a major concern....was more worried about bleeding

    Yeah he did. He never said anything about possible infections.

    Day of and day after should be plenty. My boy had his adenoids out and grommets in, and was a little funny the next day but completely fine the day after. He did have it done on a Thursday though, which meant he wasn't back at daycare till the monday.

    I had two weeks off when I got my adenoids taken out... in summer.

    That was over 20 years ago.
