Exclamation Shorten to move private member's bill on marriage equality

Bill Shorten will move a private member's bill on marriage equality in Parliament on Monday.
Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has announced his intention to introduce a private member's bill in Parliament next week over marriage equality.
Deputy Leader Tanya Plibersek will second the motion.
The news came after Ireland voted in favour of marriage equality in a historic referendum.
Mr Shorten voiced his support for Ireland's decision on Twitter on Saturday.
"Time for Australia and our Parliament to embrace marriage equality. Congratulations Ireland," he said

So exciting!! I just saw Nine News had posted about this.. and stupid me went and read a few comments which of course left me disgusted.

    How people can say
I am open minded, but I don't agree with gay marriage or same sex parenting.
(actual sickening quote) is beyond me.

    Equal rights, yah baby!!

Hopefully a 2 pronged approach will have a bit more clout.
