Default Childcare rebate if studying full time - new budget changes

Thinking of studying next year, just wondering if anyone knows if we still qualify for rebate if i'm studying full time? Hubs might work part-time and part-time study

i understand the new budget had changes to stay at home mums where household income above a certain amount will not have rebates anymore

does a full time study mum equate to "stay at home mum"?

I'm not sure but I wouldn't think so. If you are studing full-time your not exactly a full-time sahm are you? But from memory these changes applied to households with a taxable income above 100k or there abouts. I remember thinking that I would've been affected if I was still with XH.

We won't know yet if it even passes, if it does then it comes in July 2017, and then there's still another election soon....
If you want to study I suggest starting that ball rolling and jumping that hurdle when it comes

I'm not sure but I know you get 'free' childcare with tafe but not uni here in SA. My child nurse told me! Was so ****ed as I chose a different course

The budget hasn't passed, so I wouldn't worry about it at this stage. It's hard to say what could happen because it could be passed as is, modified or outright rejected at this point, and as another PP said there is an election coming up next year too which can change everything yet again.

Just do what you are going to do anyway and see what happens. Good luck

It wasn't a link springrose but I goto a PND clinic and she said I was entitled to it. Maybe health care card is part of it? Under skills for all? I don't know

If it's what I'm thinking of with the free childcare, I don't think it's free but it's heaps cheap. Try JET program I think it's called through centrelink. My sister was eligible for the while studying.
