I was so anti this show. Then watched it and now am a complete convert.
Although I find the experts irritating as hell!

I totally agree with you....Cultures that practice arranged marriage have usually had their entire lives knowing what to expect....The professionals may be able predict an outcome, but chemistry or lack of it can turn that upside down.
And you mentioned their expectations ....I didn't think of that...
Somewhere they have made a second series on this....I wonder how the first one turned out.

I know 2 ladies that are in arranged marriages. They met their husbands twice before the wedding, while chaperoned. They are so in love with their husbands, their husbands treat them like royalty, and they're very much in love after many years. Both of them have said that they had form a friendship with their husbands first, and the love came later, but that they trusted their family to make the right decision for them based on more than just attraction. So I think in some cases of arranged marriage the love and happiness is what keeps them together, and I'm sure in other cases its because it's not culturally acceptable to divorce. But hey, I know plenty of unhappy married couples who are still together despite divorce being acceptable here!

I'm enjoying watching the show so far! I think once the honeymoon is over it will be interesting to see how they cope with real life...

It's worth noting for anyone who missed this bit or haven't watched yet, they aren't legally binding marriages. They just go through the getting dressed up, walking don the aisle saying 'vows', wedding reception etc so it feels like they're married.

So if they want to go their own ways at the end they don't need to get divorced. If they do stay together they'll get married properly whenever they choose.

I'm yet to watch the second weddings but I can't wait!

Anyone still watching? What's your predictions?

I think Lachlan and Claire should go their separate ways. He is way too nice and down to earth for her!

Roni and Michael (?) I thought were good, but I think that Michael is a bit immature and seems like he's getting scared of the commitment. Not sure how they'll go.

I think the guy with the "inside bike" lol and his wife are not suited at all. He seems much too much of a bachelor, and she's a bit of a princess.

And the other two, I think they seem pretty good together.

I'm only still watching this because there's nothing else on!

I think Lachlan is too nice for Claire, she walks all over him.

Roni and Michael I don't think will last. No chemistry there now.

I think Zoe wants someone with more luxuries in there life. He is used to hard work and I feel her judgemental side ruining them.

I think the other couple aren't happy. They seem very unfortable around each other.

Same I watch because I don't know what else to watch.

I'm watching! I have missed last week but will watch the catch up soon.

I like roni but think Michael is a player who will not treat her well, Clare is too moody and Lachlan is too nice, don't like them together at all. I think roni and Lachlan would have been better suited.

The plumber guy and his wife - don't know their names - but they don't seem into each other AT ALL.

And I don't know the other couple, but the guy seems like a childish control freak and the girl seems too nice for him. He doesn't even look at her when they talk, he doesn't seem interested in her at all.

Story on the old rumour mill is that Clare & Lachlan are expecting a baby!
No idea how true this is but that what I've read today

    I saw that today too.

I don't mind Clare and lachlan, I think they will last.

I don't think Roni and Michael will - which is a shame I thought they were good together:

You would be able to knock me over with a feather if the plumber and Melbourne girl say together. She is so judgemental. I think she's in it for the show more that finding love.

Not sure on the other one. I like them together though
