    Default IVF/FET June July 2015

I am 39 yrs old which I think is working against me. Been married 3 yrs this November.
We had 2 early mc's last year, the last one being September and nothing since so decided on IVF to try to speed things up and increase our chances. This is our first cycle and I think I will only be able to afford 2 or 3 cycles and that is only by redrawing on my personal loan!!! It will kill me if I have to give up on my dream just because we can't afford the treatment
I mean we will probably keep trying naturally but I don't know our chances.....might just be my eggs are too old but we will keep plodding along 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm trying for #1 too. In our case, severe MFI. Apparently, my eggs quantity/quality are average for my age (37). Have your hubby been tested? We women tend to blame ourselves, but 30% of the time infertility can be male factor related. We tried for a whole year, i thought I was the problem because of my age (dh is younger than me). In Jan last year, he had his first SA: low count and motility, and bad morphology. It was heartbreaking but at least we were able to start a plan.

Don't give up! Hope this is your year to become a mum! 😘💓

Yes hubby has been tested. He is fine. My egg quantity was really good too.
We both have had a mountain of blood tests done and they are all fine as well.
Not looking good for tomorrow, spoke to my nurse coordinator this arvo and she said due to the fact so many eggs fertilised abnormally and the remaining two are not dividing as fast as they should it could be my egg quality.
The energy needed for the cell divisions all comes from the eggs.
If we don't transfer tomorrow she wants me to book to see the specialist who has overseen my cycle. Then she will tell me whether or not we should continue IVF.
I won't get in to see her until at least ninth July, so that cancels out using my next cycle if this one fails
Not expecting a good nights sleep tonight.
Leaving here at 8am to drive to Newcastle for transfer and they could likely call us while we are on the road to tell us transfer is not possible...
If even IVF won't work, don't like my chances of it ever happening. Wish I had met hubby a few years ago 😪😪😪

Thank you for your warm wishes ladies!

Im from NSW and currently my clinic supplies my IVF meds for me (apparenty its covered by medicare - i had no out of pocket for any of my injection or pessaries), my clinic advised me that from July meds would be supplied by pharmacies instead of directly getting them through your fertility clinic, which would incur a cost.

i havent done any research on this myself though

    Default first post eeeek...

Hi, im completely new to this. 1st time forum-er(so excuse the rubbish 'lingo' lol), first comment and first cycle of ivf so guessing im going through a similar stage to you all. nervous as hell. Really nice to see how supportive you all are to each other and that so many people are going through the same struggles as me.
Im currently ET +3 days so the long TWW for a blood test in 9days.
I had both my tubes removed due to burst appendicitus damage years ago. We had 8 eggs collected in december 2014, of which 5 were good enough to use. 4 of those fertilised so we have just had 1 ET and the other 3 are still frozen.
Im on clexane 20mg one each night, prednisalone 2x5mg twice a day and progesterone morn and night. Dependant on the test result as to whether this continues. Fingers crossed and good wishes for you all 😊 x

Im not freezing any. I only do fresh cycles so my main concern is under a microscope how do they know which emby is the best one to transfer if I transfer two then they woukd put back the best two of the batch resulting in a better chance of conception. I dont know I know people woukd argue the point im pretty headstrong about it. Just remembered the two week wait thats a phase of it all id love to skip
Welcome meshell23. May I ask why you only do fresh and don't freeze? Does that mean any left over embryos are discarded?

FiBub76 have you taken any vit? You could try Accupuncture as well (expensive though), CoQ10, Royal Jelly, Fish Oil. I've been on those since 2 months before IVF. Read "The Infertility Cure", I've got a PDF copy if you want to read it.

Hope you're having your transfer today! Got all my fingers crossed for you. 😘🙌
