MariaA - Welcome hun, good luck with your FET on Saturday. Hoping this is your cycle for a sibling for your DS.

Jk565 - Hope your beta is low hun so you can move forward. Try to stay positive this can happen its nice to know your body has tried to do what it needs to do. I hang onto my chemical (the cycle before last) positively.

Phiphi - I am the same as Barca and have tried acupuncture in past cycles but it just wasnt my thing and I also found it expensive. I have heard lots of ladies swear by it and it really works for them so I would definitely say its worth a try.

Hi Ladies i havent been on this thread before (i think) i had my FET yesterday with 2 Embys being transferred this is our 4th transfer. My progestrone was a little low sitting on 14 so we have doubled the dose to 2 pessaries 3 times a day. Do you think this will affect the outcome? Has anyone had low progestrone then a successful outcome. Hope the 2ww goes quickly. Thanks for any advice.

I've had issues with low progesterone in previous cycles, it has meant AF has come sooner than she should for me. So I think your FS/FN bumping up the progesterone support sounds like a good idea

Ok ladies I'm after your thoughts. Had my first scan this cycle and had 15 follies on one ovary, and 26 on the other. From memory this is a better result than my last fresh cycle (was a while ago). Starting ovulation prevention meds today. My Gonal F protocol is a bit more than last time. Sounds promising?

@HopefulK that's loads of follicles! What dose of gonal are you on? And do you have Pcos? You have to watch you don't end up being overstimulated after EPU. Some clinics will cancel the cycle all together if worried. But by the sounds of it your fs wasn't worried? Do you remember if they were good sizes?

I have "slightly polycystic" ovaries but not pcos. They were between 11-12 in size from memory? I have been wondering about ohss! Do you know at what point they will start to get concerned?

    I'm on 300 per day Gonal F.

They usually trigger once a follicle reaches 18mm+. So you still have a few days left. It's estimated they grow by 2mm per day. When is your next scan? The orgalutran will stop you from ovulating in the meantime. I'm not sure- my fs would be concerned now, but not having been at the scan Ivan only give you the information that I had whilst stimming. At my clinic anything over 18 follicles is an instant freeze cycle. They might also monitor your hormones via a blood test. I guess if your fs wasn't concerned I wouldn't be either. You have to trust them. Just be aware you might end up with ohss. Good to be one step ahead 😊 good luck!

Thanks Keiko2012. I spoke to my nurse and she said it's "borderline". Next scan is Friday so I guess I will find out a bit more then. Good to be prepared, you're spot on! I will be upset if it turns out to be ohss but I always knew that is a possibility as my FS had flagged it at the start. Fingers crossed as always!

Where are you up to Keiko? How did your scan go?

Scan went well. Ovaries were nicely suppressed. Lining wasn't the greatest but not the worst so started on oestrogen patches today on top of my oestrogen tablets and have a transfer booked for next wed! 😊

Khile - congrats on being PUPO hun, good luck in the tww. I think they have done the right thing upping your progesterone its better to cover all bases.

HopefulK - That does sound likeba lot of follies hun maybe the majority of them are a little smaller with only some sizeable ones between 11-12. My clinic had me right down every follicles measurement as the nurse looked for them which really helped me visualise it all and take it in. On my second stimulated cycle I was at risk of my cycle being cancelled as I had 16 follicles that were of a good size at scan and many many more. They had me do a blood test before I triggered to look at the estrogen level and were very suprised how low it was so they gave me the go ahead. At Epu they got 17 eggs but I had a freeze all cycle due to risk of ohss but at the time was just happy to even get to epu. Hope it all works out for you, good luck for Friday.

Keiko - great news for today's scan hun exciting stuff. Nice to have a date set for transfer.

AFM - I had an appointment planned for tomorrow to check my lining before I start on the hrt mefication but I have come down with gastro. Have cancelled tomorrows appointment and reorganised for Thursday at the moment which I dont think should be an issue. Haven't started any important meds yet but just hoping this doesn't put us back.
