Default I want to change public hospitals in Adelaide

Hi I was just wondering if anyone else has been allocated to a public hospital due to zoning but wasn't happy with that hospital and wanted to change to a different public hospital? I have been allocated to womens and children's hospital in Adelaide and after my first appointment with them yesterday (I am 15 weeks pregnant) I just didn't like the doctors and didn't feel comfortable and want to change to the Lyell McEwin which would have been my first preference. If anyone else has been in the same situation were you allowed to change hospitals? How far along were you and how did you go about it?

No advice - I wouldn't have thought it was possible.

I would say though that you've only had one appointment. You're likely to see a variety of different people, and you'll like some and dislike others, no matter where you are. I had my daughter at the WCH, through the midwifery group practice. It was fantastic! Having my second at WCH soon, and have been seeing midwives at a community clinic. No issues so far.

I live in SA also and just before my first appointment I changed from Gawler hospital to LMH. I can't see why they wouldn't let you. I had incredibly good experiences at LMH and soo glad. I have also had unpleasant and just unwelcoming experiences during both my pregnancies at W&C and Flinders MC. I'm sure if you call the number you phone when you register your pregnancy and they give you a number they should be able direct you how to reschedule your next appointment at LMH. I can't see why not is the public system and shouldn't matter.

What hospital are you at now?

It's very hard too. But call pregnancy hotline And they will give schedule you. I hated WCH. I hate taking my son there for anything
