    Default I'm responsible right?

My dog just bit and cut another dog (in the vagina). Both dogs were off the leash. I'm fairly certain my dog was just trying to protect me. They are taking the poor dog to the vet now. I feel awful!

I'm responsible right? I'm waiting for the owners to call me after the vet.

I would say yes you are. Dogs can be so unpredictable sometimes. Hope the poor pooch is okay.

No, I would flat out refuse to pay all off the vet bills. Both parties were in the wrong, so I would offer to pay only half.

If it was me, I would offer to pay. I hope the other dog (and you and your dog as well!) are all okay, it sounds traumatic! X

Because their dog was off a leash, as was yours. Both party is responsible for their animal and this could have been avoided.

    Big hugs. Are you okay?

If your dog attacked than you are responsible to pay the whole bill.

I think as they were both off the leash they both weren't under the owners control, therefore your both at fault? However personally i feel it depends on the situation.. like if your dog was 100% the aggressor and the other dog didnt do anything wrong i would feel like i should offer to pay.

I'm ok. Just waiting to hear back from the owner. I will offer to pay, I don't think msg was the aggressor, their dog came barrelling up to us and mine lashed out, trying to protect us. I think its the right thing to do,
