    Default **warning:** gross picture

I've been on the pill for a month, and over the last 3-5 days I've been a bit lazy taking it. I woke up this morning with AF. I just went to the bathroom when *this* fell out. Is it normal to pass (what looks like tissue) of this size? I did have a baby 9 months ago, so I'm a bit confused. ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1431835411.465973.jpg

I get clots so that's not unusual for me, however if that's something you're not use to getting definitely call a doctor immediately. Isn't one of the side effects of the pill clots

I'd go to the doctor about it.
I'm not sure, but it's not a single piece, it's vein like in the respect that it's tubular (has two sides, and hollow inside) I hope that makes sense.

I've just done some research, it is not a clot, it is called 'decidual cast'

    Phew.

    Phew.
Please still follow it up, I googled it and what I read said it needs to be followed up with blood tests after passing it (I think unless I read it wrong).

Does appear to be a decidual cast, not usually something to be worried about but still worth a check up regardless

Do you remember why it said about the blood tests?

I think it said because they are often associated with ectopic pregnancy you need to have your blood levels checked. I'll try to find in my history what I was reading.

ETA: https://ispub.com/IJGO/9/1/11420. I may have misread the bit about the blood test but you can read and see how you interpret it
