    Default Hand foot and mouth?

So my 15month old son developed 3 little pimple things (one on his lip and two on his chin) about 2 days ago. I've since found an ulcer on his tongue as well but he has nothing on his hands and feet. Does anyone think this could be HFM? He has been refusing bottle and struggling to eat a little but has had no fever and is otherwise happy (apart from an unsettled night last night).

It could be. Do you have a photo? Both my kids have had HFM - with DS it was obvious that's what it was, but DD had a really mild case. She only had 2 blisters on her hand and had been mildly unsettled. Has there been contact with someone with HFM do you know?

ETA - though I don't know if ulcers are generally associated with HFM.....

Sounds like it could be. My gp always checks for spots under their feet and between their toes & fingers too. When my DD had it she had nothing on her mouth but some on her hands and feet & in the groin area. It was a very mild case. Seems to be different for each child.

The one on his lip is hardly noticeable today and he won't let me inside his mouth which is where tha main problem is. I figure if it's HFM then it's a mild case as well. No idea where he would've gotten it
