We got two neons for my mum & dad they are a better fit personally for kids than the expensive meridian I bought for DD in first place and the other infa one ( I don't know it's purple 😝) DS is already ff though at 15 months he's 17 kg and if I didn't have him turned we wouldn't be able to drive. Which is unfortunate I might try again once we buy a DVD player for the kids

I have a Rallye too. They are great seats. My biggest issue was the length of the buckle strap. My DD is quite bottom heavy and it was down way too low for us. Made it really hard to do up and I kept jamming in thigh. The evolve has a buckle strap which adjusts which works well for us (though I still wish it was longer!!).

The height markers on the Rallye are great. I've never used it in booster seat mode (to be honest if confused me a bit but I never read the instructions).

The Rallye is about $130 on sale, the evolve $350 on sale. The best bit about the evolve is you don't have to ever take the seat out to adjust it. I know another one has that feature too. You will need to take a Rallye out to adjust the straps.

I have an average sized 2 year old. Considering the other one we are looking at is $200 more if it doesn't fit as a booster later it's still cheaper

Just all depends on how your child grows. My DS went from the 25 percentile for height to the 50th in 3 months so the seat I thought would last another year or 2 is quickly meeting the exit marker. You may get to 6yrs harnessed in a Rally before they hit the turn to booster mode or you may only get to 4 yrs. Seeing that it's only $150 at the moment it's probably worth taking the chance on it. By the time they reach the marker there will probably be more harness to 8yr seats on the market to choose from and things usually get cheaper when there is more competition.
