    Default URGENT PLEASE!! Proposal question!

    Hi all!

Firstly I apologise for the username... Proposer is sitting next to me and told me this is what I had to make it... He's a funny guy....

Ok, so Proposer is sitting next to me and told me he plans to propose to his girlfriend this year.

Our question is, her birthday is in the later half of this year... So.

Would you, or would you not, be happy to be proposed to on your birthday (a significant birthday) or would you prefer to have the proposal as its own event.

Said birthday will be surrounded by all of their friends and family.

    Thanks in advance all!!!

    Yes I would be happy.

I wanted dh to propose on my birthday. Nope it flew past.

Then I wanted him to propose at Christmas. Nothing. Nada. Ziltch.

    Surely New Years? Nope.

I eventually proposed to him after new years. Haha.

I always told DH that if he proposed on my birthday or Christmas, he would owe me another present on top because an engagement ring wouldn't count.

However, I would have been happy no matter when he did it (and probably would have forgotten all about the other gift thing).

If he does decide to do it for her birthday, I'd suggest a separate present as well, especially if he wants to surprise her & needs a decoy

Id rather have an intimate proposal, just the two of us. But that is just me.

IMO it is a couple business only, family can be there for the engagement party!

Nope. Would prefer it not on my birthday.
I would also be horrified if he proposed in front of everyone. Pressure on the girl to say yes. Highly embarrassing for the guy if she says no.

No not on my birthday. Too much already going on. Make it its own day. Propose now if you're sure you want to marry her. Who knows what could happen by then.

Propose now and have a birthday party with a surprise wedding on the same day! (Surprise for 'birthday' guests not bride)

My ex dh proposed on my birthday. I have always been really annoyed that he did that. I would've preferred the proposal to have its own special day.
