Really nice travel sized skin care/ shampoo/conditioner, body wash.
It made my showers at the hospital really lovely and now the smell of aveda Rosemary and mint shower gel reminds me of having DS.

    I had 3 bags:
    My stuff
    Baby stuff
Delicious snacks, drinks and activities for labour. Didn't end up needing this one

    Default Help A Sister Out!

Nail clippers /scissors. I gripped hold of ex-dhs shoulder whilst in labour, driving to the hospital, I broke all my nails off into sharp points, I didn't gave any clippers or even an emery board to do anything about it.

Baby wipes, I only packed a travel pack, those merconium (sp?!) poos are so sticky and hard to get off, I used so many baby wipes getting that poo off her! I ran out over night and didn't know what to do.

I'm sure there's more random things, but I'll come back.

    Default Help A Sister Out!

Extra things to pack in hospital bag:

    - proper sneakers for walking up and down stairs to get labour going
    - gentle night light as the hospital post natal room light is a bit bright for obsessively checking on newborn (according to my friend)
    - yoga pants/comfy wear for walking/pacing (they'll get sweaty and if all you have is one pair of pyjama pants you'll need to send out for more clothes)
    - a reusable coffee travel cup for you and your support people (the little styrofoam ones don't cut it if you're a big tea drinker)
    - nice tea/herbal tea if you think you'll get sick of Lipton
    - eye drops (the aircon over night really dries you out)
