    Default SA results confused

I had two different doctors tell me two different things: one says it's all perfect and the other says could be better...

    total count 92million
    Consistency 38milliom per ml
Motility (progresssive) 35% which one says it's totally fine and the other says should be higher?
Morphology 8% which one says it's totally fine and the other says should be much higher?
PH 8.5, one says ok and the other said it should be below 8.

I thought hubby's results were good but I am in doubt now.

    Any Thoughts?

I know these figures are above the minimum set forth by the WHO by a fair bit and the WHO tested 4000 guys whose partner conceived within 12 months.

Our FS says he looks for 15 million count (per ml I believe not total), I think 40 percent motility (not sure exactly) and 4 percent morphology. Hope this helps, good luck!

From what we have been told the recommendations for SA results were changed a couple of years ago. You could have one doctor who is aware of these changes and one that isn't - hence the difference of opinion...

    The 'old rules' looked for
    Count : above 25 million
    Motility: above 50%
    Morphology: above 15%

    The new rules
    Count: above 15 million
    Motility: above 40%
    Morphology: above 4%

We were doing multiple IVF cycle around the time of the changes hence why we were told as DH went from 'severe MFI' to 'borderline MFI'.
Our FS was at the international conference that ratified these changes.
