Default How long did it take you to conceive your first or how long have you been trying?

How long did it take you to conceive your first? How long have you been trying in case you didn't conceive yet?

I am feeling a bit down atm as everyone is either pregnsnt or has kids and 80 percent of my friends and family conceived within two months so I am wondering what's wrong with me. Why does it happen so fast for everyone else but me?

I know it's not only me and I know 5 months isn't long but it's still upsetting. I am healthy young and BD around the right time yet I can't fall pregnant and everyone else seems falling without trying...

I understand it can be frustrating - especially when babies and pregnancy seem to be all around you. I have definitely had days where it all felt claustrophobic..

We started TTC in April '09. After 6 months we were referred to a specialist. It then took another 5 1/2 years before we finally got our BFP in February this year.

We ended up having to do 3 IUI's , 6 OE IVF's before heading to 2 DE IVF cycles overseas.... It was a long road.

11 months for my first bub. I knew that 12 months was average for normal healthy couples but it felt like FOREVER! I found it a very difficult time. I was desperate to get pregnant and the constant comments from friends, family and even random strangers about why I wasn't pregnant became unbearable. OP I am so sorry that you are feeling this way too. Good news is...... It did eventually happen and it's all worked out perfectly! A perfect baby perfectly timed for us! It was all worth the wait. I truly hope you have a similar happy ending. Then a crazy thing happened..... Our second baby came to us after i ovulated for the first time! The universe just really likes to mess with us!!!
Good luck. You truly never know what is just around the corner waiting for you. Xxx

Hugs it's really hard especially when you feel like everyone else is getting pregnant. We got pregnant just on 12 months of trying but unfortunately had a miscarriage then 3 years later we were very lucky to get pregnant through IVF. So all up, just over 4 years.
