    Default Sleep consultant VIC

Can anyone recommend a sleep consultant in Victoria they have first hand experience with?
We broke the baby for good so it seems and we don't know what to do.
He's 8 months old. We're both working full time and we have no idea.
I don't care what it costs. I feel like we just need help.
My private health won't cover sleep school.
    He used to sleep beautifully.
Now he's lucky to get 2 30 min daytime sleeps at daycare and at home the same, unless we're in the car.
At night he goes down between 7-730. The routine of dinner, bath, bottle, story, bed has been in place for months. But now wakes at 10, 11, 12, 2, 4, 5 , 6 and then can sleep until 9am.
We've tried patting, shhh'ing, rocking, ignoring, feed, nappy, and nothing changes.
He will now fall asleep in DF's arms but the minute he's put into his own bed, he wakes up and screams.
It's slowly but surely breaking us

I think it's tresillian in Melbourne? I think they have a bit of a wait list though, so the sooner you can get a referral the better.

From my understanding, you get a referral from the paediatrician? Not too sure- my little venture into sleep school was terrible. Just whatever you do- DON'T GO LOCAL.

Oh derr, silly me, I read it as a sleep school as well!

I think Jo Ryan- Babybliss- is a popular choice? And she has several methods- phone consult, spending the night, etc! Good luck

    Default Sleep consultant VIC

    School, consultant, whatever.
    I'll try anything.
Rang MCHN and she was useless. "Google them. But they all have long waiting lists"

My private health won't cover it and the cow I spoke to on the phone of my health fund said "I've made a note that you've asked so it's considered a pre existing condition so the wait period will be 12 months and not 2 months."

    Thanks girls.

A girlfriend of mine in Victoria saw Pinky McKay and said she was excellent, and that it didn't take long to get an appointment.

There are public sleep schools in vic - o'connell family centre which I think is in Dandenong, tweddle and queen Elizabeth. There is also a day stay centre in Koo Wee Rup. Details for all are on the Raising Children Website under Early Parenting Centres. Because they're public they won't cost you anything to go. If you ring to book in, make sure you let them know the stress you are under, they prioritise bookings according to need.
    Good luck!

Just a suggestion have you tried a chiropractor? My 5 month old is like this when his neck is out, wakes constantly during the night but will happily sleep in my arms and in the car. May not be the issue for your little one but worth a try?
