    Good luck @onionskin.

Would send a letter registered post, that way you know it has been definitely received.

I recently found my birth mother on Facebook. I sent her a message there as I had no street address. I liked that I could see 'seen'...or whatever it was under my message.

I hope it all goes well for you

@Cheerilee that is what I was hoping too, unlucky for me he didn't have facebook. I like the idea of 'seen at 5.18pm' too. It looks like a trip to the post office tomorrow.

Now to sit down and right a letter. Does anyone have any ideas on how to start? What to/not to say.

    Hi,

I'm not sure what I'm expecting by sending this letter..

    And go from there

    Goodluck

I contacted my bio father via email, but he never replied. I am pretty sure he received it though, I know it was his current work email address.

    Good luck x

Just an update. I was too late. He passed away approximately 2 years ago

I guess all the answers to my questions stop here. I apparently have a huge family on his side, that never knew about me... not sure how to proceed now.

oh that is so sad he passed away before you could contact him. is there a family member that you have an address for.?? I would perhaps make contact again with someone from the family. you might be able to form a connection with someone else. good luck, if that is what you decide to do. marie
