no you wouldn't lose out, they'd just call it a return to work bonus for instance.

Treasurer Joe Hockey has conceded new mothers who access two paid parental leave schemes are not committing fraud.

There are NO jobs here. My DH commutes 2 HOURS each way to Sydney.
Same with my dad and brother.
    It's slowly killing them

So whilst it's cheaper it's for a reason.

I would love to flee to Adelaide or somewhere but what price is leaving your family and friends behind?
Well there is no point coming to Adelaide as there is no work for lots of people anyway 😂 plus with holdens closing.

I voted Liberal. I like this budget.

There are huge amounts of jobs for some fields here in Adelaide.

Also Adelaide house prices are not staying low. We bought our house 8 months ago and it has already risen 120k in value. We did buy in a high growth area but it is a bit crazy atm. Places like semaphore, bowden, the port or prospect where 10 years ago were considered less desirable are now into the 1.5million dollar mark. When houses in Elizabeth are at 250k and rising you know that it is not looking affordable to buy in the near future here either.

This is the exact reason we had to move away from adelaide before ds was born. Not enough work in construction.

I doubt Elizabeth will stay this high after the Holden plant closure

They have been fazing out jobs there for ages. The new playford alive revitalisation project is causing a northern suburbs job boom. My daughter's friend's dad just left holdon and had a job 3 days later on a construction site and he is also getting retrained. There are other factories like ighams ect that are going to be expanding soon also.

One factory does not employ all of 1 whole region of Adelaide. There is also people buying up as property close to major transport routes is good for travelling into central jobs.

I am a bit worried about the dept of housing tenents that are getting moved regionally though as people buy out the houses and renovate them.
