    Default HCG dropping

I'm very early into this pregnancy. Only about 3 weeks. I have had 4 faint frer positive tests. Had my bloods done and my HCG was 23. The next day I had another lot done to make sure they are rising and they have dropped my 2.
Does this sound like an impending miscarriage?
I'm a little numb and lost.
    Thanks in advance

I'm sorry to say that that is what's called a chemical pregnancy. The embryo implants, but doesn't develop much beyond that, and you will get AF once your HCG drops to 0. It may or may not be heavier than normal. If you hadn't been doing early testing you probably wouldn't even know it had happened. But for early testers (and yes I'm one of them!), they are the worst kind of tease.

    Hugs.

So sorry that this is happening to you OP, but it sounds like a chemical pregnancy. It's likely you'll get your AF soon. Big hugs. Take care of yourself.

Yep, chemical pregnancy. I had one 3 years ago and my dp is going through one now. It's sad, not fair and just sucks.
    Be kind to yourself xx

Thank you for your replies. Had another blood test today was down to 15. Reading up on chemical pregnancy really gave me closure on the situation.
So thank you for your help

Sorry to hear that. A loss is still a loss and takes time to grieve.
