    Default Lighter bleed before AF

Hi all. Since coming off the pill I have had a light bleed (lasting maybe a day) and then 3-4 days later my 'normal' AF starts. Has anyone experienced this? Which one of these do I count as CD1? Thanks!

I dont know what annovulatory cycles are, but I don't cramp. I've never had an issue with cramping, even before I went on the pill.

Annovulatory means you don't ovulate. I haven't taken the pill for many years for certain reasons but I notice that if I have very light vleeding for about 3 days and then my real peeiod starts and I don't cramp I didn't ovulate that cycle. Doesn't happen often maybe once a year if even that but my FS said cremping is good sign for ovulation and bleeding will be different for annovulatory cycles and most likely start very light. He explained the reasons why this is the case also. I suggest you start temping. Sometimes maybe your period is just weird coming of the pill.

Thanks. I'm in no rush, just taking a wait and see approach to it all for now. Not keen to fill my brain with opks and temps until its really necessary.

This happens to me nearly every second cycle or so. I have one polycystic ovary so I always put it down to that. I'm about to go and have some testing done next week so I'll mention it and see what they say.
