Default How long does it take?

I started spotting Monday night, by Tuesday I was bleeding quite heavily and passing clots. I was needing to change pads every hour or 2 (sorry if that's tmi) until later that evening. The following day the bleeding was like a normal period but with a few clots. I also had some mild cramping. Today the cramps are pretty much gone and the bleeding seems lighter (still with occasional clots).
I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow to see where we're at but I'm just wondering how long this is likely to last? I was expecting a lot more pain but maybe that will happen later? What should I expect?
Sorry if these are stupid questions, my head is all over the place right now.

I'm guessing your talking about a natural miscarriage. I started mine of Friday heavy through to Monday and bleeding stopped on Wednesday. I'm guessing mine is finished I have a scan tomorrow

It does sound like you have lost the sac if the bleed has reduced. If you saw a round looking dark blue/black clot, then that would have been the sac. The ones that look like liver, are lining. I still bled for another 2 days after losing the sac. Then a week of brown. (When the brown stopped, I got a bfn)
I only had very mild tightenings with my mc.

I'm sorry to hear that you have miscarried 😔
I myself have just gone the through the same thing. I started spotting, following by light bleeding. It wasn't that heavy (only had to change the pad out of hygiene otherwise I could have worn it for hours and hours!).
No cramping at all either. I did have a very sore back though.
My spotting started Wednesday and the bleeding stopped on the Saturday but started again Monday- but this time had some brown...
My hcg levels are slowing coming down!
I hope it is all over for you so you can try again and hopefully you get a sticky one! X

So, I just lost a clot like thing, or at least that's what I thought it was but it was kind of fleshy and stringy. About a 50c piece size. Is that normal? The bleeding is only light now so I thought it was almost over so this has kind of freaked me out.

It's normal hun, I had all but stopped bleeding for a week and HCG was almost back to normal, then passed a fleshy/stringy clot yesterday.
