I have never seen it spelt that way. How do people who put an N in there pronounce it?

Nope, I've always pronounced it di-lem-a but always spelt it with the 'n'

I just thought it was a silent 'n'

Those who spell it "dilemna", do you have clear memories of being taught to spell it that way?

Me too! I'm so fascinated by it. I don't understand how it could happen given that it's never appeared in any dictionary spelt that way. It's blown my mind!

Perhaps someone many years ago mistook the cursive for an n, went on to be a teacher and taught the mistake on to more people?
