    He's out! I'm heading back to hospital now to see him.

    He is still asleep and they will wake him soon, hopefully when I get there.

    Wish me a safe drive pls as I am not keen on driving at night in strange places

    Thanks everyone, I'm here now, I'm a mess.

    Dad's surgery went well, they replaced 5 arteries and he's still asleep. He woke a couple of times and gagged on the pipes and it was so ****en scary to watch. I've been crying the entire time I've been here. They have upped his sedation again as don't think they want him to wake just yet.

    Glad it went well, his body needs to rest now no doubt. Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news. Try get some rest tonight, I can imagine that will be hard but remember he is in good hands xx

    glad the surgery went well.

    the first few days after are hard with all the tubes, monitors and stuff.

    Glad it all went well. Its scary having to wait through times like that. My mum had open heart surgery a few years back after being a few days off death and it was truly freaky. She had to have valves and a few veins replaced. It makes you stare thier mortality in the face which is really hard. I hope he makes a quick recovery now.
