Oh hun there's nothing worse than waiting. Trust me I know how you feel. Late January I had an early miscarriage at 5 wks 2 days and haven't had a period since. 5 weeks after that I became ill and was barely able to function. For four weeks 3 different doctors ran an assortment of blood and heart tests and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I began researching my symptoms and they married up nicely with ovarian cancer. There's an easy way at home to pick it up by using pregnancy tests, ovarian cancer makes your body produce hcg just like pregnancy. So I bought a 3 pack and away I went. All three came back instantly with a very strong positive. I was devastated, I thought my failed pregnancy had brought on cancer for me. I tried calling the doctor and my gyno but Telstra was down for hours that afternoon and didn't start working till well after hours. The next morning I was able to get a Dr app and have blood work done but I had to wait 2 days for a scan. Worst wait of life 😱Imagine my surprise when they found a strong heartbeat instead of cancer! Today I'm 12 wks and 1 day but I'm still fearful of miscarrying, always check the tp after I've peed. Last Saturday I woke up not feeling pregnant, my boobs that have been so sore were absolutely normally. I've never wanted them to hurt more than I did then lol. At lunch when I did my normal tp check there where 2 small spots of fresh blood, boy did I panic then. Luckily for me I'd retained the services of an obstetrician and he is on call for me 24/7. Hubby called him and he told me to go straight to his office for a scan, and it was Saturday! Bub looked great, perfect size and excellent heart rate thank goodness! I'm so glad we went with an Ob this time around, especially with all my worries and I love how he does an ultrasound at every appointment. I really do hope everything comes back perfectly well and healthy for you. Please keep us updated xx

I had bloods taken yesterday and will have another lot done Monday. They GP was lovely, she even borrowed a colleagues ultrasound machine to see if she could see anything. There was defiantly a sac and she thought perhaps Bub and heartbeat but my bladder wasn't very full and she isn't actually trained in it.
Anyway, I'll just keep waiting it out I spose. I had very sore boobs when I was first pregnant and they are nowhere near as bad anymore.
Just been to the loo and had another lot of blood there so I'm not holding my breath.

The Gp rang this morn. Bloods were 4000 and something. Not high enough for 7 weeks but in range for 6. I should be 7 was exactly today. Do def not helpful. Thinking there's not much chance of it being ok. Will just have to wait it out though.

Hey Em what a nightmare for you! I hate those blood tests. At 5+6 my hcg was at 43000 and the doctors started getting stressed that it was a molar pregnancy. Turned out it meant nothing, just unusually high hcg. In fact, every pregnancy I've had has had high hcg, even as I was miscarrying the first one. Are you still bleeding? I reckon only a proper scan will tell.

Yeh I did have a bit of a bleed this arvo, nothing in between though. The fact that my boobs are hardly sore anymore has me thinking it's over (as well as the bleeding). I don't want to get another ultrasound 😭 they have been bad news for me lately. I am booked in for Thursday as I already had a dating scan booked for then. I'm just hoping bloods Monday give me a def answer. DH and I have spoken about what I should do next. I'm really starting to wonder if my weight has something to do with it. I've read obesity increases your likeliness of miscarriage by heaps. I wasn't as overweight when I had my son so this might be the kick up the butt I need to get stuck into being healthy again.

I'm sorry to hear you're still bleeding and I'll be thinking of you on Monday.

As for your weight, I guess it could be something to work towards, but it's hard to say whether that's the issue. You know my story. I'm under 35, exercise regularly and have a BMI that sits between 19.5 and 21. Plus, I have a living child. I'm a walking 'low risk'. Yet still it's been this pregnancy loss nightmare.

Thanks for thinking of me Lou Lou. I'm in the middle of my second miscarriage 😢. Things really ramped up Wednesday night so hopefully I'm towards the end of the cramping and yucky part.
I wasn't getting much help off the GP I was seeing so ended up ringing my OB office. She was away but I got some info off the receptionist and she booked me in to see the OB on Tues when she is back.
I'd dare say I will be going for a d&c but will see what she says. Hopefully there is nothing actually wrong and this will be the help I need. I'm not really sure what else to do but hopefully the OB will guide me through everything.

Oh hun how awful for you! 😭 I had a miscarriage earlier this year, it was my first and that was hard enough let alone twice. I'm 13 weeks now, never had a period after my miscarriage and didn't know till we were 8.5 weeks that I was even pregnant. We don't even remember doing the deed tbh but apparently we are super fertile after a loss. I have my fingers crossed for you that it will happen soon!! 😘 We had been trying for over 5 years and I'm also overweight x

I have my fingers crossed too. We were really lucky and fell second cycle with first miscarriage and first cycle trying this miscarriage. For some reason I haven't been able to hold onto them though! I'm so greatful I have my DS otherwise I think I would be even more upset.
I hope we are allowed to ttc straight after the surgery but will have to wait and see what the OB says. I'm going to ask about my weight, I've also ordered some weight loss shakes to start as soon as they come just for a quick fix before we ttc again, mainly to try and lose as much as I can before then.
I'm so glad your journey is going well! Very exciting times ahead!
