Last year they filmed everything except the announcement of the winner which was done live to air. They wore the same clothes and everything. I think that was the year before as well.

There was an article about all of these questions just before this season came out! I'll see if I can track it down...

Considering that half the appeal of food is eating it hot, with meat-resting-times being very important to the end result. Or cold, in the case of desserts...and not a melted mess.

Yes, the benches and sinks look clean and sparkling post-cook...but isn't the show's crux about the "way the food tastes"? Isn't that what they bang on about all the time?

Sorry, but I am unhealthily addicted to this show

@J37 I can't for the life of me find the article, but I remember them saying (it was a former contestant and it was probably Topknot since I bothered to read it!) that the judges do waaaay more tasting than is shown on the TV, so they have at least tried everything in its intended state (hot/cold etc).

I still wonder if they script some of the narrative stuff. It's hard to imagine that they hit the jackpoint so consistently in terms of people being able to express themselves so articulately.

I saw a similar article about my kitchen rules. That sea urchin would have been even more vom worthy once it was stone cold and congealed!

then was shocked to see Rose had the advantage!
