I'm glad Jessie is staying too. She is one of the least annoying contestants on the show.

Does anyone know much about the actual production of the show? It is very well produced...clean and sparkling benches and sinks at the end of every cook. My question is: given it would take time to clean the kitchen so beautifully, even with many people, how do they prevent desserts melting, meat becoming cold and chewy, sauce becoming gluggy etc?

Also, when do they film the contestants' "narrative"? Before they present their dish and therefore don't know the outcome? If so, this adds extra production time before their dish gets tasted?

    Just intrigued.

I was hoping she'd go in the elimination last night. I keep hoping each and every week that she'll go.

Did anyone notice sara and jessie exchange looks after rose's dish was tasted and declared great? I don't think some of the contestants are pleased she's still there either

I did, but I figured it was a case of them thinking it was down to one of the two of them who was being eliminated.

But maybe it was a roll eyes kind of moment between them.

Hi @J37. The Callum re-plating controversy of a few series back gave some insight into the behind the scenes stuff. See http://www.news.com.au/entertainment...-1225864034125.

Emski 72's mate might be able to give some insight too!

I think they do the narratives after they know the outcome. A few times, I've seen some signs of the contestants having been crying (red eyes etc) when it turns out at the end they've been eliminated.

I think so too, I've seen puffy red eyes in those interviews eg Jacqui

Yep narratives are after the show, they eat the food cold. They taste a lot during the cooks so they have an idea of what it's meant to taste like.

I think it's gross that they eat it cold, surely it can't be as good as it should be. Some stuff would melt, some would congeal, ick.
